Elective Programmes
The Art Elective Programme (AEP) and Music Elective Programme (MEP), which started in 1984 and 1982 respectively, are offered to academically able students with talents in art and music at selected secondary schools with Special and Express courses and selected junior colleges. The aims of these programmes are to stretch these students' talents in art and music, and to develop individuals who would be able to provide leadership favourable to the cultivation of the arts in Singapore.

The Language Elective Programme (LEP) is a two year programme conducted at selected junior colleges only. The optional subjects offered in LEP include Chinese, Malay, French, German and Japanese. The LEP subject may be offered in place of the 4th GCE A-Level subject in any subject combination.
