Programmer (Multimedia Development)
Job Description
As a Programmer (Multimedia Development) in the Educational Technology Division, you will provide technical expertise in the development and integration of multimedia projects and interactive web applications.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing web-based and standalone applications written in Flash, Java, Javascript, HTML and C++
- Developing 3D applications (including third party or open source 3D engines) using languages such as Java, C++, C sharp and other .NET languages
- Adopting scalable and reusable code, and ensuring consistency in execution and keeping abreast of the industry standards and trends
- Assisting in the conceptualisation of interactive ideas and work with graphic designers and officers to create innovative, dynamic UI solutions and components of multimedia and web applications to provide a valuable interactive learning experience
Requirements
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
- A diploma in Infocomm Technology or any IT-related discipline from local polytechnics with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Must be fluent in Advanced Flash Actionscript programming, Java, Javascripts, HTML and C++ and have strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Possess good knowledge of instructional design, Object Oriented Programming, DirectX, PHP, MySQL, XHTML, AJAX, XML parsing and handling of XML Sockets
- Possess working knowledge in a variety of web browsers, FTP clients and other web tools
Remuneration Package
Successful candidates will be offered appointment on contract basis. The appointment grade and starting salary will be commensurate with the academic qualifications and work experience of successful applicants. Those who have completed full-time National Service will be granted increments.
